Recombustor 1.11 released!

I just released the latest version of my game: It’s a major upgrade for tablet users mostly but it also improves the visual appearance on handsets with higher resolutions. The previous artwork targeted screens with 480×320 sizes and that doesn’t scale so well…

Here’s a screenshot from my tablet:

It’s pretty huge and it feels really much better now (click on the image for full resolution).

Recombustor goes tablet!

I am now an owner of a Android tablet and I couldn’t stand the low resolution of my game and the layout troubles it had in the menus. So I fixed most of the issues now and doubled the texture sizes. it’s looking now really damn sharp on my Asus Transformer Tablet. I’ll have to do some further cleanups now – like fixing some issues with the analytics tracking and then it should be ready to be updated on the market. Shouldn’t take too long till it’s ready! (of course, the installation will need a lot more space – probably 1.4-1.5 MB… so about 80% more or so. But I think it’s still small compared with other games ;)

    Released Recombustor 1.7

1.7 is out – only a micro release. Playing level one is now mandatory – got too many complains that players started with the free play mode without knowing how to play! I am displaying those extra play buttons now only once the first level is solved (shouldn’t be too difficult and doesn’t take more than half a minute).

Additionally, I dropped the advertisement system. I am going to replace it with something entirely else. That allowed me to remove a lot of the requested permissions (now it is only requiring internet access). It is now truly free to play – enjoy!

    Recombustor 1.6 is out

I’ve released the free game nearly three weeks ago and made several small improvements since then. The German translations are done, I’ve compressed all the images so the whole APK file size shrinked from 1.6mb to about .85mb.

The success so far isn’t that great – so far 21 downloads have happened. Not really much I’d say. At least it’s rated high and the feedback is quite positive.

This morning, my admob campaign has started for showing ads for my game – I have invested 50$ for trying out how it’ll perform, but so far, it hasn’t triggered any further downloads. Via my youtube account, I can check how many times my promotion video was played back on mobile devices – it’s been accessed 13 times, also not very much at all.

I’ll be posting more accurate numbers after the admob campaign has finished in about 5 days, summarizing what I think about it.
